What to Expect
At Shoreline Chiropractic and Wellness, your care is centered around you and your individual needs. From the moment you arrive, you can expect a welcoming, low-pressure environment. We’ll guide you through every step of your visit so you never feel rushed or uncertain - just thoughtful, personalized care focused on helping you feel better, move better and make confident decisions about your health.
1
Thorough History & Exam
Your care starts with a comprehensive health history. This important step allows us to fully understand you and decide whether chiropractic care is the right choice. Next, we perform a focused examination that includes assessing posture, screening movement patterns, evaluating range of motion and conducting orthopedic and neurological tests.
This information is essential for developing a treatment plan tailored to your health needs and goals.
2
Review of Findings
This is where everything comes together. We’ll walk you through the results of your exam, explain what’s happening in your body and answer any questions you may have.
We’ll then discuss your customized treatment plan, outlining what care looks like, how long it may take, and what goals we’re working toward—so you feel informed, supported and comfortable with your plan.
3
Soft-Tissue Therapy
Soft tissue therapy focuses on the muscles and connective tissues that support your spine and joints. When these tissues are tight or imbalanced, they can limit movement and interfere with healing.
That’s why we include soft tissue work at every visit—to prepare your body for adjustments, improve movement, and help you get the most benefit from your care. This consistent approach supports comfort, recovery, and long-term results.
4
Adjustment
Chiropractic adjustments are used to improve joint motion and support proper nervous system function. We adjust the spine and when necessary, the joints of the extremities—such as the shoulders, hips, knees, or wrists—to restore movement and reduce stress on the body.
Adjustments are always tailored to your specific needs and comfort level, and are performed only when appropriate as part of your personalized treatment plan.
5
Guided Therapeutic/Rehabilitative Exercises
Rehabilitative and performance exercises help you take an active role in your recovery. These customized exercises focus on improving strength, stability, and movement quality to support your body both during care and beyond.
Consistently performing these exercises helps maintain progress between visits and supports long-term results, so you can move better and feel stronger over time.
Follow-Up Visits
Subsequent visits will last 10-15 minutes and will be focused on achieving the goals of your treatment plan. Depending on what is best suited for you, I may use a combination of treatments including myofascial tissue work, chiropractic adjustments, instrument-assisted soft tissue work, dynamic cupping, therapeutic exercise and/or rehabilitative exercises. These are all included in your visit and not of extra costs.
